A play toolkit for Grimwild: Community Edition
Grimwilder
Keep the dice honest and the story moving.
Grimwilder keeps track of your Grimwild game, from the pools and spark to who took harm, so the table can stay in the story. The GM runs the session from one screen, every player's sheet rolls its own dice, and everyone shares one log of what happened.
GM · Cut to Smoke pours from the mill as the waterwheel catches.
Old Hesk voiced by GM “Leave the grain! The roof's coming down!”
Tibbs rolls Agility · 3d + 1 spark, 1 thorn
Success, with an impact move.
Tibbs “Out the window. Now!”
How it works
-
The GM starts a campaign
They pitch it, pick the optional rules, and share its invite link with the players.
-
Build the party
Everyone makes a character from any of the 18 paths, at any level, and takes a seat.
-
Play
The GM runs scenes and calls for rolls; players roll from their sheets, and it all lands in one log.
For the whole table
Play at the table
In the same room or apart, everyone sees the same dice the moment they land.
-
The GM table
Scenes, suspense, the party's harm and spark at a glance, pools to roll and reveal, and crucibles close by.
-
One shared log
Rolls are made on the server, so everyone sees the same dice. Spark is spent and taken for you, and the GM's secret rolls stay secret.
-
Roll calls
The GM calls for a story roll, a montage or a quarrel, and each player rolls their own dice from wherever they are.
-
Table chat
Narration, NPC voices, in-character lines, table talk and private whispers, side by side with the dice.
-
Sessions and scenes
Start and end them, rest, take downtime. Resets, XP and level-ups are handled, and every session's recap and rolls are kept.
-
Optional rules
Switch on the book's optional rules for a campaign: milestone levels, vigor and armor, encumbrance, tick pools and more.
Bloodied · +1t to Brawn and Agility
For every player
Character sheets that roll
Your sheet knows your stats, your harm and your talents, and adds them up for you.
-
Everything in one roll
Stat dice, spark, assists, thorns from harm and your talents' bonuses add up in one setup, and the result says why it came out that way.
-
Harm and conditions
Marks, bloodied, rattled and desperate, vex, and conditions that count down as pools. The GM can tend them too.
-
Talents that work
Uses to tick, talent pools to roll, choices to make, re-skins, and talents that change a roll after it's made.
-
Arcana
Magic items with their touchstones and power pools, refilled each session, and expendables you use up.
